A thrilling drive up into the mountains (the name itself means mountainous) with breathtaking scenery about 14 kilometers from Makrigialos.

Orino has an attractive village square surrounded by lovingly tended gardens. The village can be reached from Agios Stephanos if you have a 4 wheel drive.

Otherwise you should take the tarmac road signposted from the Ierapetra road. Orino is also the starting point for the path to Mount Thripti.
